CloudLIMS Releases Version 4.60 of its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
We are delighted to announce the latest release, version 4.60, of CloudLIMS—a SaaS, in-the-cloud LIMS with zero upfront cost for biobanks, clinical research, clinical diagnostics, genomics, and analytical testing labs such as cannabis, environmental, material, food and beverage, and water testing labs. Take your lab to the next level of performance and efficiency with the latest version of CloudLIMS.
Please find the release notes below:
- Sample Purchase Workflow Enhanced: The latest version of CloudLIMS introduces a catalog-driven workflow that streamlines sample purchase requests by associating sample records to predefined catalog entries. Available to both lab users (via the Services & Billing module) and clients (via the Client Portal), this enhancement auto-fills price and quantity based on the selected catalog, enabling a more efficient and streamlined ordering process. Catalogs are configured per sample type and include details such as price, default quantity per serving unit, and unit type. When a client selects a sample while placing an order, CloudLIMS automatically fetches the relevant catalog data. The client simply needs to enter the number of units, and CloudLIMS calculates the total quantity and price. You can generate an invoice in a few clicks, and the client can easily download it via the Client Portal.
- Attach Custom Images to CoA Templates: The latest version of CloudLIMS enables you to save additional images, such as accreditation logos, quality stamps, or custom graphics, within a report template. These images are retained as part of the template, eliminating the need to upload them each time a report is generated. Labs can place these images at the beginning or end of a report, offering greater flexibility in meeting reporting requirements. This allows easy inclusion of essential images in Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) or test reports.
- Assign a Batch ID to Multiple Sample Records: The latest version introduces a new “Assign Batch ID” action in the Samples module, enabling you to assign the same Batch ID to multiple sample records at once. Once this option is enabled from the configuration settings, the “Assign Batch ID” icon appears in the Samples module. You can select multiple sample records, click the “Assign Batch ID” icon, enter a Batch ID in the dialog, and apply it to all selected records. The assigned Batch ID is displayed in the Batch ID column as a hyperlink. This feature speeds up batch assignment, enhances traceability, and supports efficient sample batch management in high-volume workflows.
